Responsibilities

  • The team is looking to hire a Senior Associate / Vice President to cover the Japan market and run the entire deal life-cycle including :
  • Coverage : Maintaining active dialogue with sponsors, advisors and management teams
  • Origination : Originating investment ideas across the product suite of the Private Credit team via early engagement with sponsors and advisors
  • Due Diligence and Execution : Leading all aspects of DD on the business, legal documentation and other analysis to support an investment decision at the Private Credit Investmentmittee
  • Investment monitoring : Active monitoring of the investment including being an observer onpany boards and having regular dialogue with the management team and shareholders

Qualifications

  • 4 + years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance or private credit roles in Japan
  • Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Studies, Engineering or a related discipline from a distinguished academic institution
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with financial sponsors strongly preferred
  • Native level Japanese and strong business level English required
