Global Tax Operations - Japan Client Tax Support - Analyst Job Description

Exciting Opportunity to be part of Global Tax Operations Team.

As a Japan Client Tax Support Analyst within Global Tax Operations, you will be part of the team to maximize client's investments by either facilitating effective tax relief at source on client investment ie or retrospectively reclaiming taxes from global tax authorities.

Job respons ibilities

• Deliver the Tax Service to support Securities Services Custody business
• Act as the centralized point of contact for allplex and technical tax issues to support our client's tax servicing needs and manage client relationships proactively
• Have a good understanding of the client's business, structure and tax strategy to ensure all entitled tax benefits are received in order to maximise tax efficiency
• Contribute to the taxponent of service reviews and other meetings with the client and provide input on any tax-related product or other change requests
• Support and guidance on outstanding / expiring tax documentation, relief at source, retrospective reclaims, capital gains tax, financial transaction tax, tax regulatory reporting
• Ensure close collaboration with the Sub Custodian network and the internal Network Management Group
• Manage client tax documentation, including, as needed, onward distribution to internal teams to ensure the efficient set-up within internal systems
• Review operational tax processes to identify areas for enhancement continually, analyse root-cause of recurring issues through regular review of metrics, and assist in developing programmes for service enhancements arising from these figures
• Identify and escalate tax risks and participate in resolution
• Assist in client tax account reviews and ad-hoc projects across the wider Tax Operations team
• Attend relevant forums to represent client tax related matter
