The Role :
ERM Japan is seeking an experienced Technical Safety Principal Consultant who can play a key role in providing technical support to ensure process and functional safety throughout the entire lifecycle of TOP 500 client assets. Additionally, engage in business development activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance on Environmental, Health & Safety assessment and audits as well as Hazard and Risk identification assessment
- Develop EHS standards, permits, EIAs, and reports, support in the integration of process safety management systems in the operations of our clients
- Engaging all levels of an organization / client in order to achieve the positive transformation of the Environmental, Health and Safety performance as well as the that of the overall business through trainings, field coaching, workshop facilitation.
- Manage multiple projects remaining mindful of the scope, budget and timing expectations
- Deliver high quality project deliverables under the supervision and with the support of subject matter experts
- Support ERM Partners and Project Managers to effectively manage and deliver projects
- Effectively nurture and build client relationships leading to repeat business
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other stakeholders (regulators)
- Coach and mentor junior staff in their tasks
Requirements
Bachelor and / or Master degree in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering / Science or other Engineering FieldsMinimum 10 years of relevant Safety Engineering / Science or related experience within industry or consultingExperience in construction sectors advantageousProactive and fast learner, excellent communication skills and good team workerExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishFluent in Japanese and English is a must.Who We Are
