We are looking for a Sales Director for our Sales team in Japan. You will be a hands-on sales leader passionate about growing and evolving a diverse business in a dynamic market, creating a positive sales culture, and managing a high-performing team. This role will require the implementation of strategies that will allow the company to grow and scale quickly, while guiding their respective team on the ground to manage a current base of business
What you’ll be doing :
Develop annual sales plans in terms of product, industry, and customer segment in line with the company’s overall strategy and initiatives and communicate the plans with the team and company management,
Build, develop and lead a highly effective sales team and ensure the achievement of the assigned revenue targets of the team,
Provide coaching and mentorship to the sales team to ensure the balanced performance of the team and implement a highly solution-orientated sales process to win new customers and enlarge the revenue within existing accounts,
Conduct regular revenue analysis and team performance review to identify trends, challenges as well as opportunities,
Work with senior management to develop and implement the company’s partner and channel strategies in Japan
Participate in strategic initiatives that the Company takes in the Japanese market, such as acquisitions in the local market and help with due diligence and lead integration,
Maintain frequent communications with senior management through weekly revenue reporting and ad-hoc updates and provide clear visibility on the health of the pipeline, status of deals and team performance,
Provide market insights to Marketing and Product teams and Company Management to help with product planning, marketing initiatives and overall strategy planning,
Collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, Finance and Legal teams to ensure departmental alignment and profitable revenue growth,
Provide support to colleagues in other offices in the region and globally
What we’re looking for :
7-10+ years’ experience in enterprise sales preferred,
5 or more years of experience managing a sales team, working with specific sales funnel management and structuring sales quota and revenue expectations,
Fluent in both Japanese and English, written and oral,
Excellent planning, analysis, organization, communication and presentation skills
Experience in leading digital product sales and online marketing programs,
Demonstrable experience in converting cold leads into successful new businesses with excellent contract negotiation skills,
Proven results as a strong mentor who can get the most out of a bright, collaborative team in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment
