  • Company Description
  • The Legal Department of Bosch Corporation serves as part of the headquarters' legal function of Bosch Group, a leading global automotive component supplier. The Legal Department provides legal supports for matters related to Japanese laws and regulations (business activities in Japan as well as business activities by Bosch group companies outside Japan that are related to Japanese laws and regulations). Members in the Legal Department can enhance their expertise as legal professionals by playing a leading role for consistent approach to our customers in coordination with legal departments in other regions regarding legal supports for transactions with Japanese car manufacturers, as well as by providing solutions based on detailed research and analysis on Japanese laws and regulations. There are opportunities to collaborate with legal departments located in various countries around the world, to do regular information exchanges, and to support the activities of overseas business divisions, allowing for the accumulation of international business experience. Additionally, there is potential to contribute to the overall success of the Bosch Group through these activities.

  • 1~5の法務サポートを提供します. Provide legal support to various business divisions (e.g. automotive, industrial equipment, power tools, engineering services). In particular, we handle the following tasks : 1.
  • Support contract negotiations
  • including reviewing and negotiating terms) : for various types of contracts such as sales and purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, development agreements, outsourcing agreements, and licensing agreements. 2.
  • Provide legal advice and support for the business divisions :
  • assistance in creating business models and strategic support from a legal perspective. 3.
  • Promote compliance and governance :
  • handling cases related to antitrust law compliance (including internal trainings), personal data protection law, and companies act (e.g. shareholders meeting) 4.
  • Support corporate restructuring (M&A) activities :
  • not only for domestic cases, but also for global M&A with close collaboration with legal teams in other countries 5.
  • Provide support for dispute resolution and crisis management :
  • contract related disputes with business partners (customers, suppliers, etc.) and other types of troubles in business 6.
  • Provide support for Bosch group companies in Japan :
  • provide legal supports listed above No.1 to 5 for Bosch group companies in Japan
  • Qualifications

  • 3回程度を上限とします.
  • Required Experience, Skills, and Background :
  • More than 7 years of practical experience in corporate legal departments, or more than 5 years of practical experience in law firms
  • Experience in using English in daily works such as reviewing contracts in English, conducting presentations or trainings in English
  • Business-level English communication skills in reading, writing, and conversation
  • Native-level Japanese communication skills in reading, writing, and conversation (for non-native Japanese speakers)
  • Preferred Experience, Skills, and Background :
  • Experience supporting automotive, software, or other manufacturing businesses
  • Qualification as lawyer in Japan or other countries, for candidates having practical experience only in corporate legal departments
  • Work experience in a legal department, for candidates having practical experience only in law firms
  • Experience in team management or supporting development of team members
  • Experience in contract negotiations in English and working abroad
  • Work experience in the legal department of a publicly listed company
