The company is managing projects for Japanese EPC's in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia and wants to expand its collaboration with other Japanese EPC companies, energy, oil & gas, and heavy industry customers. The role is ideal for a Project Business Development Manager or Project Logistics Department Manager looking to expand their career to take P&L ownership, responsibility for strategy and People Management.
Your Role
As Country Manager for Project Logistics, you will drive the strategic direction, commercial development, and operational excellence of the business in Japan. You will lead a high-performing team while managing key customer relationships and ensuring delivery of complex, multimodal logistics solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and profitability. You will work closely with our regional project team in Singapore and globally.

Your Responsibilities
Lead business development efforts to achieve sales, revenue, and volume targets for Project Logistics in Japan.
Oversee operational execution for high-complexity logistics projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Develop strategic client relationships and act as an executive escalation point for key accounts.
Collaborate with regional and global leadership to align market strategy with overall business objectives.
Drive implementation of major new accounts and ensure seamless onboarding and performance delivery.
Manage all commercial and financial aspects including pricing, profitability, credit, and vendor management.
Build and develop a high-performing team through effective leadership, training, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with Japanese regulatory requirements and industry standards for project logistics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience in leading Project Logistics or Industrial Projects in Japan.
Strong background in sectors such as oil & gas, EPC, energy, renewables, or heavy manufacturing.
Track record of driving commercial growth and managing complex, multimodal operations.
Deep understanding of Japanese regulatory frameworks, transport infrastructure, and customer expectations.
Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
Strategic mindset with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
