Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support on structured products, OTC derivatives, and related regulations in Japan and cross-border.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate transactional and regulatory documents.
  • Advise on legal and policy matters across various asset classes and trading platforms.
  • Collaborate with global and regional legal,pliance, and business teams.
  • Manage external counsel and support internalpliance and control initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience :

  • Japan-qualified lawyer with 3+ years at a top law firm or financial institution.
  • Strong expertise in drafting, negotiation, and regulatory interpretation.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Legal knowledge of structured finance and derivatives.

    • Soft Skills :

  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Effective multitasking in high-pressure environments.

    • Language Requirements

  • Japanese : Native
  • English : Intermediate to Business-level proficiency

    • Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with equity, fixed ie, FX, andmodity asset classes.
  • Experience with cross-border legal matters or APAC regulatory environments.
  • Transaction management and legal research capabilities.
