The Market Research and Forecasting Manager is part of the Strategy and Performance department and reports to the Business Excellence Director.
In this role, your main responsibilities will be leading market research projects and developing accurate sales forecasts to support strategic decision-making. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping our product development / marketing strategies for our growing innovative Oncology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Forecasting : Developing and updating forecast models for existing and upcoming assets / indications to inform the 5-year product business plan and Long term Supply planning Utilize external and internal databases (e.g., IQVIA, MDV, GHC, JMDC…) to provide relevant input and define the best approach for each forecast. Define KPIs and associated values for forecasting in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Contribute to performing business case assessments
- Market Research : Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to define the market research plan for the brand(s) you manage. Managing activities related to market research studies, including selecting service providers, and recommending appropriate methodologies. Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of research projects. Synthesizing results and present actionable recommendations to various internal clients, during various forums (plenary sessions, workshops, …). Working cross functionally with other departments (ie marketing, medical) to provide added-value market insights or ad-hoc specific support
- Other Responsibilities Contributing to the Competitive Intelligence and environment change tracking Contributing to strategic and tactical planning for main Products Engaging in cross-functional projects leveraging your expertise and insights from market studies and forecasts. Sharing best practices in terms of market research and forecasting within Servier Japan
Qualifications :
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the pharma industry, (pharma company, consulting, or market research agency)Master level degree or above (PharmD, Business School, other)Skills and Competencies :
Understanding of business issues and expectationsProficiency in Market Research methodologies (quantitative / qualitative) with strong synthesis abilitiesFamiliarity with data sources specific to the pharmaceutical industryKnowledge of forecasting methodologies, ideally epi-based forecasting approachProject management skills - ability to lead and coordinate several different projects in parallel while ensuring high quality work and meeting timelinesAbility to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insightsProficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally some knowledge of PowerBIFamiliarity with Oncology specificities / interest in complex medical therapeutic areasEnglish is a strong advantage, for communicating with regional stakeholders / link with Head QuartersWhatever your area of expertise, your work within the Servier Group helps advance therapeutic progress for the benefit of patients.
