Why we are looking for this role

In order to accelerate data-driven drug discovery research, it is necessary to eliminate data silos, which have become an issue, and to build a highly scalable research digital IT infrastructure that can effectively utilize internal and external research data and maximize its value. To achieve this, we are looking for a person who can lead the use of the latest digital IT technologies by utilizing your knowledge in the research field and knowledge of data utilization, and through discussion and collaboration with internal and external parties, unraveling the apparent and latent issues.

Responsibilities

To identify essential and latent issues and needs in the utilization of research data and knowledge through discussions with researchers in the field in order to accelerate drug discovery research projects, and to lead them to solutions by utilizing the latest digital IT technologies.

To achieve these goals, we will collaborate with in-house researchers and partner companies (outsourced IT companies, etc.) to develop a digital IT infrastructure, mainly in one of the following areas, to automate data processing and enhance analysis capabilities.

Design and construction of various databases for drug discovery research, including antibody / low and mid-molecule, pharmacology / safety (non-clinical), and omics databases

Design and construction of large-scale data analysis environment for data scientists

Planning and implementation of measures to promote collection, management, and utilization of research data

Planning, requirement definition, construction, operation management, and management of outsourced contractors for the introduction / construction of cross-divisional digital IT infrastructure, including the above

In addition, technical follow-up for data utilization (infrastructure construction and implementation) will be conducted with the help of in-house experts.
