Our Payment Gateway team is responsible for the full lifecycle development, operation, maintenance, and project management of the AWS infrastructure that powers our payment platforms. As the leader of our team, you'll have a direct impact on ensuring smooth and secure transactions for millions of Rakuten customers.

Position : Why We Hire

Payment Gateway, a service operated by this group, provides a platform that allows payments to be made smoothly both inside and outside Rakuten. Our group are primarily responsible for development / operation / maintenance / project management related to the infrastructure area for payment platforms on AWS. This position's responsibility is a lead role for DevOps engineering. Through this position, you can not only gain enterprise DevOps engineering, but also experience in E-commerce, payment gateway system, diverse and complex systems.

Position Details

• Lead DevOps / SRE team responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of the software applications and systems on AWS.
• Create a plan, assign tasks to members, and support resolving issues and risks.
• Infrastructure management, following infrastructure as code. (DNS, Networking, server, containers, lambda, database)
• Partnering across teams to ensure the reliability, scalability and usability of our products and services.
• Provide support for the customers and our monitoring team through daily monitoring, troubleshooting complex problems involving multiple organizations, and performance tuning of AWS.
• Lead the design and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Mentor and coach engineers and other team members.
• Lead the architecture design of software applications and systems.
