Bilingual SAP Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Project Manager to lead a large-scale SAP S / 4HANA implementation and Japan localization deployment for a global automotive manufacturing group. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP expertise, proven leadership in APAC rollout programs, and strong bilingual communication skills to drive business transformation across Japan operations.

Required Experience :

20+ years of SAP experience with 15+ years in SAP Project / Program Management

Successful track record of 3–4 SAP S / 4HANA / ECC global template rollout programs in APAC / Japan

Automotive or manufacturing industry background

Strong understanding of Japan localization, legal, and business processes

Executive-level stakeholder management and change leadership

Excellent communication and team leadership skills

Key Responsibilities :

Lead end-to-end SAP S / 4HANA Japan deployment based on global template

Manage the full project lifecycle : planning, design, build, testing, cutover, and go-live support

Coordinate with global headquarters and regional teams for template alignment and rollout execution

Manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, and SI partners

Drive executive stakeholder engagement, change management, and communication

Ensure compliance with Japanese legal, tax, and business requirements

Provide governance, project reporting, and risk mitigation

Lead user training, UAT, and post-go-live hypercare

Languages :

Fluent Japanese & English (business level required)

Chinese proficiency is a plus

Education :

Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or equivalent

Veteran SAP delivery leader

Deep automotive manufacturing process knowledge

Skilled in global / local stakeholder management

Adept at cultural communication across Japan & global HQ

Hands-on leadership with strong ownership mindset
