Role Description
The Voice Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the voice system for Asia based in Tokyo. This includes onsite in Tokyo and remote support of the IPC Unigy system, Cisco Telephony System, NICE Voice Recording / Assurance and voice circuit management across the rest of APAC. The successful candidate will work closely with IT teams, vendors, and end-users to provide high-quality voice communication solutions that enhance the operational efficiency and care delivery within the organization
Weekend work and remote on call support required. The candidate should have a minimum years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
The candidate will report globally to the Head of Telecom & Multimedia in New York and locally report to the Head of infrastructure in Asia based in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of the voice system
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
- Provide support for voice communication system and work closely with users and helpdesk to resolve issues.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and general IT staff to ensure effective use and management of the voice systems.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring up-to-date knowledge base articles for the IT team.
- Closely work with infrastructure and security team to ensure the voice systems are integrated & aligned with overall IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to manage service agreements, upgrades, and technical support.
- Communicate voice system updates, changes, and best practices to stakeholders the firm
- Coordinate with circuit installations, changes, and disconnects with vendors
- Participate in voice-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in IT / Telecom or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.IPC Unigy Certification required. NTR-X and Cisco voice certification a plusIn depth knowledge of IPC Unigy voice trading systems, Voice Circuits, NICE NTR-X Voice Recording and Assurance, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, and other Cisco voice products.Experience designing, deploying, and managing of Enterprise, Trader Voice and Voice Recording and Assurance system at a medium to large financial firm.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; detail orientedAbility to effectively interact with a diverse group of IT staff located in multiple sites, including proven effectiveness working with global teamsExpertise interfacing directly users (general users and traders) and regional compliance officersHighly self-motivated and capable to work under pressureExtremely organized with strong time-management skillsPossesses a customer-oriented mindsetSolid communications skills. Fluency in Japanese and English required
