The opportunity

Are you ready to make your mark as part of the Commercial Litigation Practice in our Tokyo office?

Our Commercial Litigation Practice specializes in representing clients in high-stakes business disputes across a wide range of industries. We provide expert legal services in areas such as contract disputes, class actions, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, antitrust litigation and intellectual property litigation.

Our team handles all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling and strategic planning to trial and appellate proceedings. By leveraging our deep legal expertise, global reach and strategic insights, we help clients navigate complex legal challenges, protect their business interests, and achieve favorable outcomes through both court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution methods.

As an Associate, you will have good judgment, excellent analytical skills and broad subject matter experience across commercial litigation, international arbitration, regulatory issues, private international law, public international law, corporate and other commercial issues. Highly organised and self-motivated, you’ll be a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.

Key responsibilities

• Draft motions, trial briefs, examination outlines and other documents for domestic and international matters.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Coordinate experts and Counsel engagements.
