Senior Business Development Leader - Power & Utilities, Power & Utilities - Energy & Utilities IBU

Position Overview :

Senior Business Development leadership role within AWS Energy & Utilities industry unit

Focus on Power & Utility customers' digital transformation and cloud adoption

Emphasis on addressing industry transformation challenges including modernization, cybersecurity, and climate initiatives

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute market development plans

Identify and establish Line of Business opportunities

Build relationships with CxO / VP level executives

Drive industry thought leadership and technical guidance

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with AWS solutions architects, partners, and sales teams

Coordinate with marketing, compliance, security, and policy teams

Enable AWS customer teams in their day-to-day interactions

Technical & Business Development

Help develop cloud patterns and solutions

Create and promote technical content and reference architectures

Drive sales plays and customer engagements

Participate in industry events and speaking engagements

The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills to drive AWS's growth in the utility sector while helping customers navigate their digital transformation journey.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years of Power & Utilities industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Strong cross-functional leadership abilities
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Deep understanding of utility operations and challenges
