Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop, maintain and direct the implementation of LPT strategy, innovation, mid-term planning and business delivery.
- Accountable for setting budgets and delivering targets for the reporting unit – including but not limited to – Order Intake, Sales, Gross Margin, EBIT, cross functional charging costs from / to the Legal Entity (LE) and contribution to Working Capital and ROCE of the Legal Entity (LE).
- Direct and control the work and resources of the company and ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure achievement of mission and objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, local institutions, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
- Provide leadership within the reporting unit of responsibility and align with other divisional heads and Country MD as required.
- Represent LPT interests and align Legal Entity (LE) requirements with the wider GEA Group stakeholders (BU Heads, Regional Heads, Country MD, Divisional Finance)
- Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers and other key contacts to secure for it the most effective contract terms.
- Accountable for the reporting unit within GEA’s Legal Entities (LE) and ensuring statutory and legal responsibilities are fulfilled.
- Develop, maintain and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all QSHE, data protection, equal opportunities policies and other statutory regulations.
- Ensure approval processes follow GEA guidelines – CRM, E-approval, PADB (and others, where applicable).
- Ensure compliance processes follow GEA guidelines – project management, supply chain, QSHE and business compliance.
- Supports other strategic and corporate initiatives as required (including other GEA functions and business).
- Engage and champion the values, leadership signature and objectives of the organisation.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Engineering or Business-related qualification is required and should be backed by significant work experienceFurther education (Master’s degree), registration with a relevant regulatory body and commitment to relevant continued development are considered important.Min. 10 years’ experience in similar functions in engineering, equipment or food / beverage manufacturing combined incl. min. 5 years in a management roleExperience in matrix organizations, especially influencing and leading without direct authority is an advantageExperience in international negotiation & contractingExperience with corporate finance and performance management principlesExperience in budgeting and planningExperience in change managementFluent in English and Japanese (verbal and written)Deep technical knowhow, project management and end-to-end process expertiseProfound commercial understandingOpen-minded to new models, ideas and innovation (change champion)Strong organizational skillsStrong problem-solving skillsComfortable in working with multiple companies, locations and culturesComfortable in making presentations and speaking in public
