About the Role :

Are you passionate about helping leading enterprises transform their data infrastructure? At Confluent, we’re pioneering the future of data streaming — and we’re looking for a dynamic Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth in the Japan market. As a key player on our sales team, you’ll take ownership of developing and executing a go-to-market strategy for some of the most recognized enterprises in the region. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is excited by the opportunity to shape the future of data-driven organizations.

What You Will Do :

  • Champion Apache Kafka and Confluent's cutting-edge data streaming platform within large enterprise and multi-national accounts
  • Drive end-to-end sales efforts : prospect, qualify, engage, and close new business opportunities
  • Exceed sales goals — monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders across IT and business functions
  • Collaborate with and grow relationships with Confluent’s strategic partners and the broader ecosystem
  • Develop and execute territory-specific go-to-market plans, leveraging organic, viral, and community-driven strategies

What You Will Bring :

  • At least 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience, ideally in fast-growing software or SaaS companies
  • Proven success selling complex solutions in one or more of the following areas : databases, messaging, open source, big data, or cloud infrastructure
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to articulate the business value of data platforms to both technical and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to developers, architects, and C-level executives
  • Experience navigating and growing accounts within large, matrixed enterprise organizations
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, startup-style environment
