Content Planner – CapCut Japan

ResponsibilitiesTeam IntroductionWith the vision of simplifying content creation and making it more exciting, CapCut launched on mobile in April 2020. Offering rich editing features, templates, and a music library, it quickly expanded to the , Europe, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and more. To meet diverse user needs, a PC version followed in 2022. Today, CapCut has over 100 million monthly active users worldwide and consistently ranks among the top apps in global download charts. Responsibilities 1. Develop trending content strategies and planning mechanisms based on Japanese user preferences. Ensure content quality, stay sensitive to trends and local culture, and enhance the creativity and competitiveness of CapCut "Template" content. 2. Understand Japanese user needs, local festival and event moments. Design effective content templates that can help drive DAU growth during key local campaigns or events. 3. Plan creative content ideas leveraging AI effects (, text-to-image, image-to-video), and cultivate high-potential AI content creators. 4. Use supply-demand analysis and other methods to prioritize content production at a macro level. 5. Demonstrate strong data analysis skills and project management capabilities to effectively define goals, set priorities, and coordinate with stakeholders for timely execution.QualificationsMinimum Qualification 1. Proficiency in both Chinese and Japanese as working languages; strong understanding of Japanese culture is a plus. 2. 3+ years of experience in operations, preferably in content strategy / planning. Background in film, media, or marketing is a strong advantage. 3. Ability to formulate high-level strategic plans with a data-driven mindset. 4. Strong self-motivation and sense of responsibility; proactive in identifying problems and driving optimization. 5. Familiarity with Japanese platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, and their local user behaviors. 6. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to build strong working relationships with local Japanese team members.
