- Digital Alchemy is an inclusive and diverse employer, we do not discriminate on any basis including gender, ethnicity, religious background, sexuality and any other factors, and we actively recruit for a strong and diverse Position Overview : As the HR Manager, you will oversee all aspects of HR management for a hotel in Japan.
You will handle the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding, employee engagement, and compensation and benefits.
This role requires someone passionate about hospitality and adept at managing HR processes to support employees from their first day until their last.
We are looking for a motivated professional who is fluent in Japanese (N2 or above) and Thai, with a willingness to travel to Japan for 3–6 months per year.
Key Responsibilities : HR Operations Handle visa and work permit processes for Thai employees traveling to Japan.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
Develop and implement HR policies tailored to the hospitality industry.
Recruitment & Onboarding Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates for various hotel positions.
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, and offer management.
Support employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives to attract top talent.
Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are fully prepared and integrated into the organization.
Compensation & Benefits Oversee and manage employee compensation and benefits, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with local regulations.
Support the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursements.
Monitor and address employee satisfaction with compensation and benefits to improve retention.
Employee Engagement & Communication Lead internal communication efforts, including newsletters, announcements, and updates to keep employees informed and engaged.
Organize and manage employee engagement activities that align with the company's culture and goals.
Act as the primary HR contact for all employee concerns, fostering a positive and open work environment.
Qualifications : Experience : At least 5 years of experience in HR, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
Language Skills : Proficiency in Japanese (N2 or higher) and Thai.
Strong English communication skills are also required.
Flexibility : Willingness to travel to Japan for 3–6 months per year as part of the role.
Cultural Adaptability : Ability to work in a multinational environment and adapt to cultural differences.
HR Expertise : Knowledge of compensation and benefits, employee engagement strategies, and HR compliance.
Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for supporting and developing employees.
Preferred Attributes : A background in HR generalist roles within global companies or hospitality businesses Experience managing cross-border HR processes, including visa and work permits.
