About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer in the Connectivity team and you will have the opportunity to develop innovative software for the automotive industry. Telematics products exposes the internal car ecosystem to the Internet : the car becomes an element of the Internet of Things IoT), offering a new level of access to car’s functionalities and a platform to build additional features in areas such as safety, security, comfort. You will work with concepts like Telematics, 5G and V2X (vehicle-to-everything).

You will interact with JOEM customers and representing SW development team for successful program execution.

What You Will Do

• As a member of “Alliance Excellence Team”, be a knowledge center of commonly used core software to utilize the experience between OEMs / Projects.
• Collaborate with global team to analyze-, debug- software implementation with customer or Tier-2 and confirm fix by patching SW / fix bug on spot
• Summarize-, Explain- the found issues to global team and customer with fix proposal.
• Support to create software requirements proposal.
• Track progress of all relevant activities regularly such as workshop, joint test.
• Adjust / synchronize planning with overall project schedule / milestones and communicate deviations.
• Support to prepare development environment in Japan including customer engineering site.
• Understand the internal and external requirements to capture clearly and concisely what is required of the product.
