Business Overview

Payment systems, including credit cards, electronic money, and web / app-based payment systems, have become an integral part of our daily lives. Rakuten Card boasts over 30 million issued cards and has achieved the No.1 position in Japan for credit card shopping transaction volume (self-issued basis).

DepartmentOverview

Our internal system department handles all systems supporting Rakuten Card's expanding service lineup, including the rapidly increasing number of members and services such as Rakuten Smart Pay. The scope of responsibility spans payment systems, debt management systems, call center systems, the Rakuten Card app, and core systems such as HR, finance, and accounting.

Working with us provides the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge technology from the upstream stages, offering engineers a highly stimulating experience.

You will have the chance to utilize your knowledge and experience to plan security measures, establish and maintain rules and systems that balance user convenience and safety.

By providing security support in collaborative projects with various specialized roles, you can contribute not only to individual company efforts but also to improving security across the Rakuten FinTech Group and the entire Rakuten Group.

PositionDetails

In this position, you will manage governance enhancement, process optimization, and information security departments supporting systems, as well as CSIRT activities and security improvement measures for the FinTech business companies.

  • Review the design and implementation of system security functions
  • Lead incident response efforts on-site
  • Report status to the CISO and committees
  • Promote ISMS within the organization
  • Plan and manage the implementation of information security improvement measures
  • Design and implement security functions for core and information systems

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of security technologies
  • Experience in security management
  • Experience in project management
  • Basic knowledge of ISMS, JSOX, and PCIDSS
  • Basic knowledge of risk management or system auditing
  • Experience in security operations such as incident response and log analysis
  • Experience in information security risk analysis
  • Experience in fraud prevention for payment systems

    • Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in information systems departments
  • Experience in information security-related work at financial institutions
  • Information security certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP)
  • Experience in CSIRT (SOC) or CSIRT management
  • Experience in designing, building, and operating information systems
  • Experience with security-related products and services
