As the company advances toward standardized operations, there is an urgent need for a seasoned Finance and Accounting Manager to streamline finance and accounting processes, ensure compliance with Japanese financial regulations, and lay a solid financial foundation for its future growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash management operations : Oversee the review and execution of payment processes, ensure the security and accuracy of fund flows, and maintain detailed records of cash transactions.
- Conduct financial document verification : Review all expense and income vouchers, verify the accuracy, compliance with Japanese financial standards, and timeliness of accounting treatments, and ensure the integrity of the accounting system.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external tax accountants : Proactively coordinate with tax professionals to provide required financial data, contracts, and supporting documents, assist in completing monthly / quarterly / annual tax filings and annual financial audits, and follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution.
- Support financial process optimization : Collaborate with internal teams to map and refine Tokyo-specific financial workflows, identify potential risks in existing processes, propose improvement solutions, and contribute to the establishment and enhancement of the companys internal control system.
- Drive financial compliance : Maintain a strong awareness of listed company financial compliance requirements, participate in drafting financial compliance policies and ensure daily financial operations align with these standards to support the companys future compliance-oriented development.
- Assist in financial reporting : Compile and analyze financial data on a regular basis, provide concise financial summaries for management decision-making, and support the preparation of consolidated financial statements when needed.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, with hands-on experience in Japanese local financial operations being highly preferred. Experience in cross-border enterprises or the education industry is a plus.In-depth knowledge of Japanese tax systems and Japanese Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (J-GAAP); proven ability to independently communicate and collaborate with tax accountants to complete tax filing and audit-related tasks.Familiarity with financial reporting standards, internal control frameworks, and relevant compliance requirements for listed companies); understanding of pre-listing financial preparation processes is an advantage.Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility; excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey financial requirements clearly.Fluency in both Chinese and Japanese (written and spoken) is preferred.Master's degree or higher from a well-known Japanese university is preferred.
