The Mechanical Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for cost saving by VAVE design change.

This position is part of the Strategic sourcing & VAVE group located in Beckman coulter Mishima and will be on-site work. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

Mechanical Engineering such as Sheet metal, Machined parts, Diecasting and Plastic mold

Mechatronics Engineering such as Pump, Motor, Solenoid valve, Degasser and their controller.

Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Sequential Control

The essential requirements of the job include :

Graduated from a university with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Control Engineering

2-3years of experience of Design Change

Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a mechatronics field

Skilled in 3D CAD

Proficient in Japanese at a business level; Capable of everyday conversational English

Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgements.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements :

2-3 travels for suppliers in Japan, China or USA

Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

Experience design of medical equipment

Overseas work experience
