Job Summary
Rosewood Miyakojima is seeking a dedicated Hygiene Manager to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and food safety across our luxury resort. This role ensures that all food served meets stringent hygiene requirements and complies with HACCP standards, local regulations, and Rosewood’s commitment to excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement and manage a fully operational HACCP-based Food Safety Management System.Foster a positive hygiene culture across all departments, ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols.Conduct training programs for food handlers to meet local hygiene regulations.Oversee temperature control, raw material inspections, storage, and food preparation processes.Monitor and implement pest control recommendations and vendor assurance programs.Lead food safety audits and liaise with local authorities and third-party auditors.Investigate guest complaints related to food hygiene and implement corrective actions.Prepare sampling schedules, statistical reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Required Skills – General skills :
Minimum three years of experience in a similar role in a HACCP-certified luxury hotel or resort.Preferred : Japanese-speaking candidates; however, English-speaking candidates will be considered.Foreign candidates : Must meet visa requirements, including 10 years of management experience in a similar role and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree.Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Food Hygiene (HACCP) certification is required.This is a unique opportunity to be part of Rosewood Miyakojima’s world-class team, delivering exceptional service in one of Japan’s most stunning island destinations.
