We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality management for both locally manufactured (JPCM) and imported products in Japan. This includes overseeing quality assurance processes across manufacturing, co-packing, and supply chain operations, while ensuring compliance with both Henkel’s internal standards and local regulatory requirements.
As the Quality Manager, you will be the key contact point for all quality-related matters in Japan, playing a critical role in maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.

- Take full ownership of quality performance across Japan, covering locally produced and imported products from GSC, China, Thailand, and the U.S.
- Ensure compliance with Henkel’s quality standards and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and continuously improve the local Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with Henkel's quality strategy and Integrated Management System.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of contract manufacturers, raw material, and packaging suppliers.
- Lead investigations and resolution processes for potential quality incidents with relevant stakeholders.
- Drive root cause analysis and improvements for manufacturing-related quality issues.
- Analyze customer complaints and initiate corrective / preventive actions.
- Oversee new product quality documentation and participate in zero / first production runs.
- Ensure compliance with both local authority and Henkel internal requirements.
- Manage local quality inspections for imported goods based on regulatory standards.
- Recommend product recalls when necessary and manage related stakeholder communication.
- Oversee the handling of refunds due to quality issues.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a compliant laboratory environment.
- Coordinate with the Asia Quality team on JP quality matters.
- Monitor and manage quality throughout transportation and warehousing.
- Conduct regular quality audits with logistics service providers (LSPs)
Team & Collaboration
Develop and strengthen the quality team to improve capability and performance.Build strong cross-functional relationships within local teams, including supply chain and commercial functions.Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs (RA) to meet local authority requirements.Host regular quality meetings with JPCM partners.Contribute to regional quality management initiatives and best practices.適したスキル
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or Microbiology.Minimum 5 years of QA experience in FMCG, preferably in the cosmetics industry.Solid understanding of quality control, hygienic design, and manufacturing practices.In-depth knowledge of Japanese cosmetic regulations.Proven experience collaborating with regional and global teams.Language proficiency : Native-level Japanese and business-level English.Strong computer skills : Microsoft Office, ERP systems.Henkelに入社するメリット
