Description
- Manage key accounts and develop strong relationships with multiple stakeholders including distributors, government organizations, engineering, purchasing and senior management
- Sell into customers through direct sales as well as indirect sales via Channel Partners
- Increase customer base and close orders with new target customers
- Identify and create new sales opportunities with both new and existing customers
- Provide monthly forecasts and reports of business potential in assigned area
- Work closely with BU and regional teams to proactively drive sales opportunities forward
- In addition, sales managers may be requested to assist the Japan Country Manager and business unit marketing team with researching new market opportunities and launching new products
Pre-requisites and Skills :
Experience in sales, as an account manager in telecommunications for wireless / wireline and network communications is preferred.Understand technologies of radio wave propagation would be an advantage.Have an existing network of key customer relationships in wireless / wireline industryExcellent communications and customer relationship management skillsAbility to understand customer applications / requirements and relate those to relevant features and benefits of VIAVI products to articulate a winning value proposition for the customerStrong communications skills and customer-orientedWillingness to travel frequently (within Japan) to provide solutions support to clientsGood oral and written communication skills in EnglishQualifications :
