Position Details

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Leading the planning, execution, monitoring, and coordination of projects

- Managing project scope, schedule, and quality

- Establishing and improving processes to ensure better collaboration among stakeholders

- Identifying and mitigating risks and issues through risk and issue management

- Reporting project progress and maintaining documentation

- Coordinating the planning of multiple projects within the organization in collaboration with other project managers

- Conducting post-project reviews and sharing knowledge to improve the success rate and efficiency of projects within the organization

- Creating and implementing standardized project management practices across the organization

- Introduction of AI into project management operations

Mandatory Qualifications:

- A shared belief of Rakuten Shugi

- 3+ Years project management experience

- Strong communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders including upper management, product managers, engineers, and QA

- Strong facilitation skills to resolve impediments affecting multiple stakeholders

- In depth knowledge of Project Management and Agile methodologies

- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and processes

- Technical skills needed to extract and manipulate data for project management including Jira Query, scripting, creating dashboards

- Business level of Japanese skill

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in architecture design in the BtoBtoC or travel industry

- Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2

- Knowledge and experience in development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum

- Experience managing teams with diverse cultural backgrounds

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills

- Proficiency in Japanese communication

- Skills in data analysis and report creation

- Experience reporting to executive or management levels
