UAT Test Engineer (Insurance)

Job Description

【Role and responsibilities】 :

• Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams
• Actively involve in the primary responsibilities that include but not limited to :
• Develop and execute UAT scenarios, scripts, and test data for customer management, actuarial, policy admin, claims, and insurance operations applications
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and IT teams to clarify acceptance criteria and ensure coverage of business processes
• Document, communicate, and escalate defects or system issues; participate in defect triages and retesting cycles
• Support UAT planning, walkthroughs, daily stand-ups, and user training in Japanese and English
• Contribute to UAT documentation, status updates, and knowledge sharing across distributed teams
• Ensure that UAT activities comply with Japanese insurance standards, operations, and audit requirements
• Assist with post-UAT validation, transition-to-production, and business go-live support
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the testing tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA leads in a distributed, multicultural environment
