A well-established international consulting and business-process outsourcing firm in Japan is seeking a Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to support foreign-affiliated companies and international entrepreneurs operating in the Japanese market.
Known for its bilingual team, strong client relationships, and deep expertise in Japan’s employment and social-insurance systems, the firm delivers practical, hands-on support to globally minded businesses navigating complex regulatory environments.

The Role
You will play a central role in delivering payroll and HR-administration services to international clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth employee experience. You’ll work closely with consultants, clients, and external partners while developing deep expertise across Japan’s payroll and social-insurance landscape.
Key Responsibilities
• Process monthly payroll and bonuses, year-end adjustments, and salary-payment reporting
• Handle social insurance, labor insurance, residence tax, and related statutory procedures
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee transfers
• Process applications for childcare, nursing care, elder-care benefits, and related programs
• Coordinate annual employee health check-ups
• Input and maintain HR/payroll data and prepare reports
• Communicate with clients in both English and Japanese by email and phone
• Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
