Sr. Procurement and Supplier Development Manager, Infrastructure Planning and Sourcing

We are seeking a Procurement professional to support the APAC data center operations space.

As a Sr. Procurement Category Manager, you will create and implement sourcing strategies for MRO services category and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to reduce risks and costs for Amazon. You will develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. Additionally, you will drive results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for your category. You will also create global Procurement processes and tools to drive innovation across teams.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage the Goods & Services Sourcing for the assigned EHS/MRO categories for Japan region.
- Manage and coordinate all customer requirements within the region for category and support JPN sites
- Liaise with other category managers for delivery of Goods and Services.
- Achieve cost savings through bidding and negotiations
- Analyze category data and metrics to drive Procurement category strategies
- Understand trends in customers’ needs and concerns, across categories and region, to influence customers’ priorities
- Lead supplier selection process across multiple categories, internal teams, and regions, and create longer-term supplier selection strategies for management
- Ensure you are knowledgeable about the supply market and supplier capabilities, technically and geographically.
- Develop mechanisms and metrics to track supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and cost (Manage the SRM process in the region)
- Create supplier scorecards to measure and track supplier performance
- Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships
- Innovate within the procurement space, automating and/or improving tools or processes to better support the Procurement Lifecycle
- Provide support throughout the contracting process, as well as management of contracts post-execution

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
- 6+ years of related industry experience
- 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)
