The Role

As a Senior Sales Engineer for Enterprise accounts you will act as a strategic Account SE and trusted advisor for enterprise customers partnering closely with Account Managers to help organizations strengthen their communication security threat protection and data protection strategies while driving long-term customer will drive solution value across Proofpoints portfolioAI-powered Email Security Threat Protection Information Protection (DLP/Insider Threat) Cloud App Security and emerging AI security solutions.
You will help customers strengthen communication security threat protection and data protection strategies while supporting broader security transformation initiatives.
You will run discovery design architectures deliver compelling demos and lead POCs and production evaluations that result in measurable outcomes.

This role will be based in Osaka Japan.

Your day-to-day

• Account planning: partner with Account Managers to develop strategic account plans and multi-year security transformation roadmaps.
• Security solution leadership: lead technical discussions across AI-powered email security threat protection data protection cloud security and related cybersecurity domains.
• Discovery & requirement mapping: capture businessobjectives risks current stack; define technical & business success criteria
• Solution architecture: design integrations across Proofpoint and thecustomersenvironment (M365/Google Workspace IdP SIEM EDR etc.)
• Stakeholder management:facilitatealignment across IT Security business units and executives
• Executive engagement:act as a trusted advisor to CISOs CIOs and executive stakeholders translating technical risks into business outcomes.
• Value storytelling: craft messages that resonate from the SOC to the boardroom
• Product demos & hands-on: showcase differentiated outcomes in realistic scenarios
• POC leadership: plan define success metrics collect evidence measure impact and deliver recommendations
• Competitive positioning: articulate differentiation tied to customer priorities
• Feedback loop: channel market and customer insights to product marketing sales and support
• Sales enablement: create content playbooks and trainings for AMs and partners
• Standardize solutions tocommon challenges(checklists architectures playbooks)
• you bring to the team
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with enterprise customers at both executive and technical levels including CISOs CIOs and security leadership teams aligning businessobjectives security strategy and cybersecurity outcomes.
  • Experience as an Account SE Solutions Architect Strategic SE or equivalent customer-facing technical role supporting enterprise accounts.
  • 6 years as an Account SE Security Specialist Solutions Architect or senior pre-sales engineer supporting enterprise customers.
  • Experience designing security architectures and integrating cybersecurity solutions across cloud identity endpoint email and modern workplace environments.
  • Hands-on experience in modern communication security technologies including AI-powered email security secure email gateways (SEG) API-based email protection platforms threat protection phishing defense collaboration security data security endpoint security identity security or security operations.
  • Preferred experience from organizations such as Broadcom/Symantec Cisco Fortinet Microsoft Mimecast CrowdStrike Palo Alto Networks Zscaler Netskope or similar cybersecurity vendors.
