Post Production Coordinator, Amazon MGM Studios

We are seeking a Post Production Coordinator to join our Japan Post Production team and play a critical role in managing the post-production pipeline across Unscripted, Scripted, Movies, and Anime titles. In this role, you will be the connective tissue between our Post Production Executives, production partners, and internal teams — ensuring projects move seamlessly from production through final delivery.

This position reports to the Head of Production & Post, APAC International Originals.

Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Post Production Executives across all project phases — from development through production and post-production — to ensure milestones are met on schedule
• Track and manage multiple concurrent projects across various stages, maintaining accurate status documentation and proactively flagging risks or delays
• Collaborate with internal downstream teams to ensure on-time delivery of all required technical, video, audio, and legal assets per contractual obligations
• Serve as the coordination hub between internal departments including Creative, Production, Marketing, VFX, Localization, Mastering, Legal, and Delivery — facilitating clear communication and resolving cross-functional dependencies
• Maintain and distribute post-production schedules, delivery specifications, and workflow documentation to production partners
• Escalate issues with appropriate urgency and propose solutions when delivery or quality challenges arise

・ クリエイティブ、プロダクション、マーケティング、VFX、ローカリゼーション、マスタリング、法務、デリバリーなど社内各部門間の調整ハブとして、円滑なコミュニケーションと部門横断的な課題解決を推進
・ ポストプロダクションスケジュール、納品仕様書、ワークフロー関連資料の管理・配布
・ 納品や品質に関する課題発生時には適切な緊急度で上位報告を行い、解決策を提案

The Japan Post Production team is part of APAC International Originals at Amazon MGM Studios. We oversee the post-production pipeline for all Japanese Original content — spanning Unscripted, Scripted, Movies, and Anime — ensuring every title meets Amazon's quality and technical standards from development through delivery. Our team partners closely with Japanese production companies, internal creative teams, and global downstream partners to bring compelling stories to over 240 countries and territories via Prime Video.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- 3+ years of experience at a post-production facility, streaming service, TV network, film/TV/anime production company, VFX studio, or localization company
- Experience with end-to-end production and post-production workflows
- Experience managing or coordinating multiple concurrent projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working across multiple content formats (anime, unscripted, scripted, and/or feature film)
- Experience creating and maintaining production or post-production schedules
- Experience coordinating asset delivery to a studio or streaming platform
- Familiarity with digital media workflows including file-based delivery, and quality control processes
- Experience working with Japanese production companies and/or post-production facilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional, multicultural teams
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
