Senior Data Consultant

Appealing Points:

• Lead Enterprise Data Transformation: Drive large-scale implementation and migration initiatives involving business data and enterprise applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strategic Consulting & Client Leadership: Lead stakeholder management, RFI/RFP responses, proposal strategy, and executive-level decision-making while advising clients on data migration, cleansing, and governance.
• Shape Data Consulting Excellence in Japan: Develop standardized implementation methodologies, mentor consulting teams, and build reusable best practices while working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Azure.

Annual Salary : 9 Million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee multiple implementation projects and proposal engagements, ensuring delivery quality.
• Own stakeholder management and consensus building with key client personnel, including IT departments, business units, and executive leadership.
• Lead the upstream design and decision-making process for migration, data cleansing, and governance strategies involving business data and enterprise applications (both on-premises and cloud-based).
• Oversee RFI/RFP responses and develop proposal strategies.
• Manage communication between product implementation teams (developers and data engineers) and clients, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop standardized implementation approaches and methodologies tailored to the Japanese market, while capturing reusable knowledge and best practices from project experiences.
• Deliver client-facing data consulting services under the direction and supervision of Capgemini project leaders.
• Support ongoing project delivery as well as pre-sales and proposal activities for new opportunities and subsequent project phases.
• Mentor team members and support resource allocation and staffing activities.

Job Qualification:

• Approximately 10+ years of experience designing system architectures involving business data and enterprise applications (both on-premises and cloud-based).
• Approximately 5+ years of consulting experience, including preparation of client-facing materials such as proposals, reports, and executive decision-making presentations.
• Proven experience leading the development of RFI/RFP response proposals.
• Possession of one of the following Associate- or Professional-level certifications, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Relevant Certifications:
  • SnowPro Core (COF-C03)
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300)
  • SnowPro Advanced: Architect
  • SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer (DEA-C02)
  • AWS Certified Database – Specialty (DBS-C01)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience serving as a PM or PMO leading multiple teams and large-scale projects.
• Experience with SAP-related projects, including SAP S/4HANA migration and SAP ECC.
• Experience launching new services/practices or establishing standardized methodologies.
• Submission of a confidentiality-compliant portfolio showcasing previous deliverables and presentation materials.

Language Proficiency: Fluent level Japanese (JLPT N1 or Native) and Business-level English
