Sr Specialist SA – IMM Infrastructure Migration and Modernization, WWSO, EAMM

Are you a customer-obsessed Microsoft workload and VMware Migration and Modernization Solution Architect with a passion for helping customers achieve their full potential? Do you have a background in Migrating and Modernization Windows workloads to a cloud hyperscaler, do you also have commercial awareness necessary to help position AWS as the cloud provider?

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Solution Architect to join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) in the Enterprise Application Migration and Modernization (EAMM) team. This role will focus on Japan.

As an IMM Solution Architect, you will help drive solutions for our customers who are aiming to migrate their workloads typically residing on VMware on Windows workloads to AWS native technologies via our many migration / modernization pathways. You will also have a good understanding of Microsoft technologies including .NET frameworks and other workloads including Linux, VDI, storage, database and Container solutions.

IMM ソリューションアーキテクトとして、VMware 上の Windows ワークロードを AWS ネイティブテクノロジーに移行することを目指すお客様に対し、多様な移行・モダナイゼーション方法を活用したソリューションの推進を支援します。また、.NET フレームワークを含む Microsoft テクノロジー、Linux、VDI、ストレージ、データベース、コンテナソリューションなど、幅広いワークロードに関する理解も求められます。

Key job responsibilities
•Work alongside your aligned specialists to provide business support, develop go-to-market motions and scaling mechanisms within Japan region.
• Represent the voice of the customer; collaborate with Japan teams to bring customer feedback to product teams.
• Provide specialist technical knowledge to your aligned specialist teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Collaborate with your WWSO colleagues in worldwide to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent.
• Create internal field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to migrate Microsoft workloads / VMware to AWS migration pathways.
• Become an active member and contributor to the AWS Technical Field Community (TFC) within your specialist domain.

• AWS ブログ、ホワイトペーパー、リファレンスアーキテクチャ、AWS Summit や AWS re:Invent などのパブリックスピーキングイベントを通じて、ベストプラクティスを共有するソートリーダーとして活動する。
• Microsoft ワークロード / VMware の AWS 移行方法を理解するための社内研修用資料を作成する。
• 社内の技術者コミュニティである AWS Technical Field Community (TFC) のアクティブなメンバーおよびコントリビューターとなる。

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen)
- 8+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of x86 based applications and infrastructure
- 5+ years of knowledge and experiences in migrating and modernising Microsoft workloads (.NET applications, SQL Server, AD, etc) to cloud
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience migrating and transforming Applications, Storage, and Databases to the cloud
- Business level English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification, or Cloud Technology Certification
- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
- Experience in datacenter consolidation and private cloud solutions including vSphere with cloud automation
- Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
