SAP FI Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated SAP FI Consultant to support SAP implementation and rollout projects. The role will involve assisting with business requirements, functional testing, documentation, UAT, and end-user support while working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and off-shore development team.

Work Place: Tokyo, Japan

Key Responsibilities:

• Support SAP FI implementation, rollout, and enhancement activities.
  
• Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements.
  
• Support communication between Japanese business users and global project teams, including translation and interpretation of discussions and project documentation.
  
• Coordinate with Japanese business users and global/offshore project teams.
  
• Support functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect tracking.
  
• Assist in preparing functional specifications, process documentation, and training materials.
  
• Participate in workshops, status meetings, and project discussions.
  
• Provide end-user support during implementation and post-go-live activities.
  
• Work closely with senior SAP FI consultants to analyze and resolve functional issues.
  

Requirements

Essential Skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP FI or ERP Finance support.
  
• Basic knowledge of SAP FI modules, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting.
  
• Good understanding of finance and accounting business processes.
  
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English, spoken and written.
  
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  
• Willingness to learn and work in a global SAP implementation environment.
  

Desired Skills:

• Experience supporting SAP implementation or rollout projects.
  
• SAP FI certification is an added advantage.
  
• Understanding of integration between SAP FI and other SAP modules such as MM and SD.
  
• JLPT N2/N1 or equivalent Japanese proficiency.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  

Language Requirement:

• Bilingual: Japanese (Business Level) and English (Business Level)
