This Role
This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, owning ICT, BMS, and physical security strategy across RHAELM's Japan data centre portfolio.

As DC ICT / Telco / Security Lead, you will own the strategy, design, and delivery of ICT, building management systems, and physical security across RHAELM's data centre portfolio.

You will ensure our facilities are secure, resilient, and fully integrated from a technology standpoint, coordinating construction, design, and commissioning activities across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate strategy, design, and commissioning for ICT, BMS, and physical security across multiple sites

• Ensure secure, resilient infrastructure and service delivery that supports business continuity and compliance

• Coordinate integration of physical security systems with data centre operations, network infrastructure, and life safety systems

• Ensure access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and perimeter security systems are properly connected, configured, and tested

• Partner with network and IT teams to validate connectivity, device addressing, and secure deployment requirements

• Develop and support QA/QC processes for physical security and ICT system installation and acceptance

• Work closely with construction, commissioning, and vendor teams to ensure systems are delivered on time and to standard

• Review inspection records, test scripts, commissioning plans, and closeout documentation

Experience

• Significant experience in low-voltage, ICT, and security design and delivery within a data centre or mission-critical environment

• Experience acting as embedded subject matter expert within cross-discipline design and delivery teams

• Track record delivering security design packages through kickoff, coordination, and closeout

• Familiarity with BMS/EPMS integration and building controls

• Experience managing vendors and subcontractors across ICT and security scopes

• Experience operating within Japan's construction, engineering, or regulatory market context advantageous

Skills

• Strong understanding of physical security systems and supporting IT infrastructure

• Confident coordination across network, low-voltage, commissioning, and procurement teams

• Clear technical documentation and inspection reporting

• Strong stakeholder management across design, construction, and operations

• Sound judgement on compliance and industry best practice

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, IT, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

• Relevant security or ICT certifications (e.g. BICSI, CCTV/access control design) advantageous

• Relevant health & safety qualifications desirable

• Based in Tokyo, Japan; business-level English required, Japanese language skills advantageous
