QA Lead Engineer

Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to join a global technology team supporting large-scale e-commerce and logistics systems.

Department Overview:

• The department is responsible for developing and operating logistics systems that support large-scale e-commerce operations. This includes warehouse management, receiving and shipping, order fulfillment, inventory-related processes, delivery status, estimated delivery dates, and delivery notifications.
  
• The team also provides logistics services to e-commerce merchants and works closely with warehouse operations and internal technology teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery experiences for customers.
  
• The department has approximately 160 members working across Japan and overseas, with a strong focus on technology, logistics, and continuous service improvement.
  

Position Overview:

• We are looking for a QA Lead to ensure the quality and reliability of logistics-related systems and services.
  
• The QA Lead will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, executing, and reporting QA activities throughout projects. The role involves working closely with development teams, business stakeholders, external partners, and other departments.
  
• Key responsibilities include improving testing processes and standards, reviewing test specifications and test cases, coordinating QA activities, managing quality risks, and driving continuous improvement across the overall service.
  
• The role also involves mentoring and developing QA team members and contributing to improved team productivity and quality.
  

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• More than 5 years of experience in application test design.
  
• Experience in API/UI test automation development and non-functional testing.
  
• Knowledge equivalent to ISTQB Foundation Level.
  
• Experience in nurturing at least one junior member.
  
• Ability to communicate while involving stakeholders.
  
• Business-level Japanese proficiency.
  
• TOEIC Score 800 above or possess equivalent abilities.
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the logistics industry.
  
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  
• Software development experience.
  
• Experience in providing E-Commerce services (B2C, C2C, B2B2C).
  
• Business level English proficiency.
