What you can help us :
- Provides pre-sales and post-sales product and technical support the Broadband BU in Japan; assistance to CommScope’s internal and external customers as a contributing team member. Support Product and Account Management and Sales teams for current, modified, and new CommScope applications and configurations.
- Provide application engineering support for CommScope’s Broadband product portfolio. In addition, introduction of new products, consult with customer to determine and document requirements, develop product specifications, work with product managers on the development of fit for purpose products.
- Have a working knowledge of Service Provider passive infrastructure inclusive of outdoor aerial and underground fiber networks, FTTX MDU / SDU networks, headend / central office / commercial buildings and copper networks.
- Provide product expertise and support and have hands-on experience in relation to optical passives, splice closures, outside plant cables, access terminals, cabinets, drop cable assemblies, copper terminals & accessories and other related products to access network cabling.
- Participate in forums, seminars, customer meetings and public events as a subject matter expert.
Qualification for consideration :
Degree or diploma in electrical, optical or telecommunications field.Minimum 8 to 10+ years’ experience in customer consultation or supportKnowledge and practical experience using passive fiber optics products highly preferred.Domestic and international up to 30% of time.Fluent in both native Japanese and English languagesWhat you will excite us if you have below :
Previous outside plant / inside plant engineering and post-sales experiences of fiber and copper networks with service provider customers.Previous experience / knowledge of FTTx network design.Knowledge of optical distribution frames, optical passives, splice closures, outside plant cables, access terminals, cabinets, drop cable assemblies, copper terminals & accessories and other related products to access network cabling.Knowledge of local Telecom standards for building, electrical and data-comm codes and regulations.Familiar with International Telecoms standards such as Telcordia, ITU-T and IEC.Familiar with data center industry trends is a plus.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships.Must be able to work with limited supervision, proactively seek outcomes within guidelines and authority provided by management.Understanding FTTX and transport technology and networks, including the knowledge required to design equipment into and test / troubleshoot these networks preferred.Knowledge of and limited experience with test equipment to include optical time domain reflectometers, optical power meters and sources and multimeters strongly preferred.Uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in creative and effective waysMaturity, a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity in respect of maintaining the confidentiality of the IP of both parties CommScope and Customer.Proficient with relevant software tools (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)#LI-VF1
