General Description :
BeOne Japan is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative HR Generalist to support core HR operations and employee programs across our Japan office. As part of the Japan HR team, you will provide hands-on assistance across Total Rewards, HR operations, compliance, and talent processes working closely with each CoE. This role plays a vital part in ensuring alignment with Japanese labor regulations and supporting employee life-cycle programs during a period of strong organizational growth. The position is full-time and based in Japan.
Essential Functions of the Job :
HR Business Partner Support (as part of JAPAC HRBP Team)
- Partner with the Senior HR Manager to execute annual HR cycles and corporate initiatives, including : Performance Management processEngagement survey and focus group facilitationDelivery of talent development programs and initiatives
- Communicate with local Japan-based teams to provide timely HR support and gather ground-level insights
- Share observations and employee feedback with regional HRBPs to enhance organizational understanding and decision-making
- Actively create opportunities to listen to employees and promote cross-functional and cross-level collaboration among colleagues
Total Rewards & Benefits Administration
Coordinate administrative support for key programs including : Annual Health Checkup and Stress Check (statutory)Group Insurance and Defined Contribution (DC) Pension ProgramSubmit monthly employee data updates to benefits providers through hardcopy forms and company stamps, as required by Japanese industry regulationsMaintain confidentiality and handle medical reports, restricted by law to in-country HR membersAssist in vendor selection and ensure accurate delivery of benefits programsManage employee communications in Japanese regarding Total RewardsSupport the project to introduce DC Pension Program for JapanHR Operations
Manage onboarding logistics and documentation after offer acceptance, including : Salary deduction agreements, employment certificates, etc.Generate and maintain Japan-specific HR documents for new hires and employee changesTrack and support overtime / payroll data in the Time & Attendance systemRespond to employee HR inquiries, especially in Japanese for those needing language supportAssist in payroll vendor transitions and local documentation delivery to Labor Office in accordance with legal requirementsTalent Acquisition Support
Organize Orientation sessions : schedule hosts, coordinate, manage logistics to enhance new joiner’s experienceReview and quality-check Japanese translations of onboarding materialsJoin interviews especially for Sales Innovators & CRAsHR Compliance & Local Support
Coordinate Health & Safety Committee meetings, minutes, and communicationsSupport preparation and submission of documents for government audits and labor inspectionsCoordinate employee communications and internal HR eventsAssist with review and localization of HR materials in JapaneseQualification Required :
