RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Excellence / Understanding customer’s commercial and technical needs and opportunities (research, communicate, present).
- Manage the customer and distributors interface by developing contacts at multiple levels, scheduling meetings and visits.
- Promote and drive the sales of specialty nutrition products and services.
- Implement the strategic positioning of the Specialty Nutrition products and services within the region.
- Support price and volume sales targets by identifying customer needs and applying appropriate commercial and technical value-added tools to support defined sales goals and objectives. Research, manage and coordinate technical and sales initiatives to support the team strategy.
- Pricing – Studying and understanding the functional feed additives markets and proposing prices that are in line with the market and with Evonik’s profit targets. Provide accurate and reliable market information.
- Account Planning – Developing and implementing plans for focus customers, including but not limited to the coordination of Technical Services as needed.
- Account Receivable – be responsible for customer settle payment on time and achieve AR target
- Budgeting and Forecasting – Accurately budgeting, forecasting and updating all account activities to ensure products and resources are available in order to achieve sales targets updated as needed. Keeping all information databases up to date (e.g. IBP, MSD, Cupset).
- Project Support - Participate in and lead various project teams to support the advancement of the business line’s value selling initiatives.
- Support customer activities (account plans) to achieve the sales budget
- Provide technical support to customers for the application of feed additives and technical services (development and application)
- Able to deliver solutions to identified customer needs
- Training the team members on the product’s technical aspects and services
- Coordinate the customer trials and manage budget in coordination with Business Manager
- Build academic network building, foster the right connections to promote portfolio
- Identify the value propositions of current products in collaboration with the Global Strategic Marketing
- Actively contribute portfolio development projects in coordination with Global Strategic Marketing
- Support the sales team on customer objections handling and prepare technical sales arguments
- Provide competitor landscape in coordination with Regional Sales Manager
- Build and maintain a network of key opinion leaders in the regional scientific community
- Represent Evonik at Industry scientific platforms, congresses, etc., and aid in the preparation of technical information for industry engagement
REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement : Master in Ruminant Nutrition (Graduate in Animal Husbandry or DVM)
Experience : Minimum 5 years’ experience in dairy business, nutrition, production, sales, or marketing
Industry Knowledge & Network : In-depth understanding of Indian dairy industry, stakeholders, and their needs / challenges. Strong network with organized dairy farms, dairy cooperatives, stockfeed industry, and dairy consultants.
Skills and Attributes : Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, customer centric approach to drive value with proposed solution or part of solution. Techno-commercial abilities for customized positioning of products and services as per need of customers.
