Description 【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】 The Director of Insurance and Risk Management will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive insurance and risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while optimizing insurance coverage across multiple healthcare insurance plans as well as leading the insurance team. 【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】 (雇入れ直後) Insurance Program Management :
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s insurance programs, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and healthcare insurance.
- Lead the procurement process for all insurance policies, identifying optimal coverage options, and negotiating favourable terms with insurance providers to minimize costs while securing adequate coverage. Risk Assessment and Mitigation :
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential insurance liabilities and vulnerabilities within the organization.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate identified risks and minimize exposure. Claims Management :
- Oversee the claims process, including investigating claims, coordinating with third-party administrators, and ensuring timely and appropriate claim settlements. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight :
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to insurance and risk management.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry trends that may impact the company’s risk exposure. Budget Management :
- Develop and manage the insurance budget, including forecasting costs and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Manage relationship with insurance brokers and insurance carriers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment on insurance strategies and risk management practices.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on risk management practices and insurance policies.
- Lead and monitor the insurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare and present reports on insurance and risk management activities to senior management and the board of directors.
- Analyse claims data and trends to inform decision-making and improve risk management practices. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance and risk management at insurance company(s) and / or non-financial company(s)
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. <歓迎 / Preferred>
- Masters degree
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
