Marketing Specialist - Japan
As part of the APAC Marketing team, you will act as the Marketing Specialist for Japan with a primary focus on key brands such as Sea-Doo and Can-Am On-Road, with limited support on secondary brands such as Ski-Doo and Can-Am Off-Road. Under the direct supervision of the APAC Marketing Manager and in close collaboration with the local Country Manager, you will be responsible for the Go To Market Strategy for Japan (including product launches) you will also be involved in the local product strategy and pricing strategy while collaborating with the local dealers for their marketing and communications.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :
- Oversee the research to establish key market segment for the Japanese market for key brands to inform the marketing strategy.
- Manages development and implementation of the go to market plans for the brands in order to meet established targets.
- Coordinates & monitor the planning and definition of marketing strategy, advertising campaigns, market potential, competition, retail promotions, and other activities for all brands.
- Defines advertising objectives, and builds and presents the brief to agencies so advertising campaigns are effective, economical, and appropriate for the intended audience.
- Adjusts marketing strategy and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.
Responsible for Japan Go-To-Market Plans for all product lines
Ensure successful launches of new products for JapanDevelops and communicates annual product launch strategy; Integral in product launches (i.e. Clubs) in creating or leveraging global Demo Site strategy, communicating product benefits and platform positioning;Annual strategic and brand planning with a strong focus on achieving key established KPl'sCommunicate Retail Promotion from the retail promotion plan under the responsibility of the retail team.Support on business cases and / or conducts market & consumer research to support projects;Market Intelligence : follows market trends, provides updates on Competitive products across Japan and performs benchmarking analyses;Inputs annually into overall marketing brand plan;Handle press contacts on all product lines.Dealer Marketing and Dealer communication :
Arrange for translation of press releases and internal / external communications as requiredSend press releases to the Japan Dealer network and to media contactsAdministration of the COOP Program for JapanAssure full alignment of all marketing and promotional campaigns run by Dealers in Japan with BRP global branding and value proposition guidelinesProactive communications with the Dealer network to foster and enhance the overall quality of Dealer marketingSupport on product :
Solicit input from Dealers and analyse respective value chain data and MTUSupport Deep Dive and other market analytics processes in the regionYOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :
Bachelor or similar degree (majoring in administration / business intelligence / marketing would be an asset)A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a similar position with a reputable employerGood numerical skills and understanding of basic accounting techniquesVery strong ability to brief and lead agency's workLanguages : fluent spoken and written English and JapaneseAccurate, methodical and consistent;Autonomous, work both strategically and tacticallyAble to perform well independently without the need for close supervisionAble to handle pressure and still maintain a positive outlookAT BRP, WHEN WE TALK ABOUT BENEFITS, WE GO ALL IN.
