Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with a strong emphasis on Manual Testing to join our dynamic team in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in software testing, demonstrating a deep understanding of manual testing methodologies and practices. The role requires proficiency in Japanese at N2 or N3 level to effectively communicate with our local teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications
- Perform thorough manual testing to identify defects and ensure software quality
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality
- Document test results and track defects using appropriate tools
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability and quality aspects
- Assist in the development and implementation of testing strategies and best practices
- Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on manual testing techniques
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing

Mandatory Skills :
Strong expertise in Manual Testing methodologies and practicesProficient in writing clear and concise test cases and test plansExperience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication skills in Japanese (N2 or N3 certification required).Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworksExperience in Agile / Scrum methodologiesKnowledge of performance testing and security testingUnderstanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testingJapanese language proficiency at N2 or N3 level is mandatoryRelevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plusRequirements
