Asset Manager (Renewable Energy)

Bradman is recruiting the same position for two different companies, both opportunities are based in Tokyo.

The first company :

Is a well funded International Renewable Energy Developer & IPP, involved in High Voltage and Extra High Voltage Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) also known as Grid Storage Plants as well as hyper scale clean energy powered data centres in Japan and internationally. They are a multicultural company and have attracted investment from International and Japanese institutional investors. They are growing fast and building the team.

The second company :

Is a successful Japanese Renewable Energy Developer, EPC & IPP involved in Utility Scale Solar, BESS and Onshore and Offshore Wind both in Japan and internationally. They are an established company with a high volume of operational assets; they have a modern culture and are still growing.

Your new role :

These positions are for the ongoing asset management and operation of these companies project portfolios, they manage multiple MW size power plants including Wind farms, Solar power generation, and grid storage (BESS). Asset management targets are diverse, including, FIT / FIP, battery storage, TK investment, and other schemes. You will be responsible for :

• SPC operation management (administrative / document / financial)
• Revenue / payment management
• Business report creation support
• Reporting and response support to investors / financial institutions / consumers
• Covenant management
• Project-related contract implementation management
• Accounting office management (operation monitoring, instruction work)
• Reporting and response to related ministries and agencies
• Planning / implementing business improvement / efficiency measures
• Negotiations with external experts (lawyers, judicial scriveners, accounting firms, power generation evaluation companies, etc.)

Who you are :

Around 5 years’ experience in asset management and / or operations for renewable or non-renewable energy generation infrastructure. You might also have investment, finance or accounting experience from the financial services industry or investment banking. You have experience in operating an SPC that owns renewable energy assets and / or SPC experience in general. You have management level experience in power plant operation in the energy industry.

To be successful in one of these roles, you will need Japanese language skills at a level where you can participate in meetings and discussions and at least a conversational level of English, Business level English is desirable. If you have experience in BPO (Business process optimisation) this is beneficial.
