The Senior Network Operations Specialist, that will be located at Camp Butler, Japan, will be responsible for performing enterprise network operations and engineering support for a broad range of programs. This will include planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the USMC network on the Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program.

The Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport.  In order to continually modernize these networks, the Navy and Marine Corps will award project Task Orders onto the SMIT contract.

Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

Oversee the infrastructure and network operation by responding appropriately to alerts and events.

Oversee incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalations.

Coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery.

Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues.

Provide data center support where appropriate.

Oversee daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues.

Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree : experience can be substituted in lieu of degree, with at least 10 years of related experience

US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance

Must possess an IAT Level III certification and also possess a CCNP certification.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
