Job Description

A Project Manager role in Tokyo, requiring strong Japanese language skills, typically involves managing projects, often in a bilingual or international environment, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This often includes responsibilities like project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and communication with various stakeholders, including senior management.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Execution : Developing and maintaining project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and tracking progress.

Stakeholder Management : Communicating with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Risk Management : Identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure project success.

Team Leadership : Leading and motivating project teams, often in a matrix environment, to ensure efficient project delivery.

Communication : Facilitating effective communication, both written and verbal, in both Japanese and English, using appropriate tools and techniques.

Quality Assurance : Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Fluency in Japanese (written and verbal)

Strong Project Management Skills : Experience in managing projects, preferably in the relevant industry or domain, including knowledge of project management methodologies.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, and build strong relationships.

Technical Knowledge : Depending on the industry or project type, technical knowledge or experience may be required.

Problem-solving and Analytical Skills : Ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and make informed decisions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team : Must be able to work effectively both individually and collaboratively.

Experience with project management tools : Familiarity with project management software and collaboration tools is often expected.
