Job Summary
The Operational Excellence Lead reports to the Head of the Saitama Site. This role is responsible for managing the Operational Excellence (OE) strategy, OE programs, OE projects, and OE procedures for the Saitama Factory, aligning with global initiatives.

This role also contributes to the overall operations of the Saitama site as a member of the Site Leadership Team (LT).
Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Lead the Operational Excellence activities of the Saitama site in alignment with the global strategy and maintain close communication with global initiatives.Serve as a site representative for Global OE and PMO initiatives.Deliver savings and achieve the annual target.Arrange and / or serve as a trainer for Six Sigma Yellow & Green Belt training for factory workers.Lead key OE projects and other complex projects as a project leader.Track KPIs of the Saitama Factory and report to the Global Internal Manufacturing Leadership team (IMLT).Manage and maintain the KPI reporting web system.Manage site risk with the site LT team and report to global initiatives using the web reporting system.Lead 5S activities as the committee chair.Create the Annual Hoshin Table (Annual Objective) based on decisions by IMLT and the Factory Head. Track the progress of the Annual Hoshin.Manage the project portfolio and progress of each project as PMO.Manage project management tools for Saitama site projects.Control CAPEX budget and budgeting process.Contribute to entire factory operations as a member of the Saitama Site Leadership Team.Report to the Head of the Saitama Site.Education & Qualifications
Education Level : Bachelor's DegreeOther Qualifications : Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (Master Black Belt preferred)Experience :At least 5 years of management experience in Lean Six Sigma or a similar efficiency improvement area in a factory setting.
Experience in a global pharmaceutical company is preferable.Competencies
Professional skills and knowledge in Lean Six Sigma. Black Belt Level is preferable.Professional skills in project management, including experience as a project leader for complex and global projects, budget / cost management, stakeholder management, and technology / engineering management.Skills to build strategies and break them down into actionable steps.Professional skills in managing and leading people and teams.Strong leadership skills to coach, motivate, and energize people.Passion for achievements and a unique leadership style to lead teams towards goals.Growth mindset to develop oneself and the team.Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English, sufficient for stakeholder management.Strong problem-solving skills.Basic knowledge of GMP and relevant laws, particularly in process development and engineering.Basic knowledge of production equipment, processes, and factory operations.Real is part of the larger SThree group, the global STEM-specialist talent partner.
