Nothing's debut smartphone, Phone (1), earned Time Magazine’s prestigious Best Inventions for Innovative Smartphone Design award. Through cutting-edge design and user interface innovation, the London-based company is creating an alternative ecosystem of tech products for the young and creative.

In 2023, the company launched Phone (2) to wide acclaim from its community, the media, and design enthusiasts, and in 2024, Nothing launched its CMF Phone 1, and Nothing Phone (2a) Series, with both receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception.

To date, Nothing has sold more than 7 million units worldwide across its product lines, having released five audio products, five smartphones, and two smart wearables under the Nothing and CMF by Nothing brands. The company has amassed a cumulative revenue of $1 billion.

All products are developed in close collaboration with the Nothing Community, which includes over 8,000 private investors and are crafted with sustainability at the forefront.

Nothing is a UK-based privately held company with backing from GV (formerly Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, C Ventures and other private investors including Tony Fadell (Principal at Future Shape & inventor of the iPod), Casey Neistat (YouTube personality and Co-founder of Beme), Kevin Lin (Co-founder of Twitch) and Steve Huffman (Co-founder and CEO of Reddit).

The Roles :

Do you live and breathe social media? Are you always ahead of the curve, knowing the latest trends before they go viral? If you're someone who has a knack for creating content that not only engages but also entertains, we want you on our team.

We are seeking a Social & Content Marketing Manager who can elevate our brand with sharp, on-trend content across all our social platforms.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop social and content marketing in Japan, developing and curating engaging content that aligns with our brand and capture attention across social platforms.
  • Develop and implement scalable social and content marketing programs to drive measurable business results in Japan.
  • Plan and schedule posts to ensure a consistent and cohesive content strategy across channels.
  • Create briefs and manage relationships with influencers and content creators.
  • Participate in conversations, engage with our audience, and build connections to boost brand presence.
  • Track and analyse program performance through key metrics like engagement, reach, and follower growth, continuously optimising to maximise impact and efficiency
  • Stay updated on social media trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms, bringing new ideas to keep our strategy relevant.
  • Work closely with the global team and align with global social and content strategy

Requirements :

  • 2-5 years experience in social and content marketing, with a track record of scaling programs for measurable goal
  • A genuine passion and deep knowledge of pop culture, internet culture, and social media trends and channels, with a strategic mindset for influencing audience behaviour
  • Be creative and able to come up with innovative ideas.
  • A good understanding of social media metrics – able to interpret results and take action to increase the effectiveness of social media efforts.
  • Video editing, photo editing and copywriting.
  • Bilingual : fluent in Japanese and advanced / business in English
