What is the key purpose of a Publisher Account Manager?
As a Publisher Account Manager working on the Publisher Account Management team in our Tokyo office, you will :
- Be responsible for the successful implementation and launch of the Taboola content discovery platform across Japan.
- Track performance and provide regular strategic direction for new opportunities to improve performance.
- Build and optimize existing relationships by identifying and presenting new initiatives to publishers to improve performance and revenues.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
For this role, it is essential that you :
Have experience as an Account Manager in a digital / technology-based company (adtech experience is a strong advantage).Are native-level in Japanese and can communicate in English for internal training and reporting.Have significant experience using Excel to generate reports and manipulate data.Have significant experience creating presentation decks with PowerPoint.Possess outstanding relationship management and customer service skills.Have very strong analytical skills to collect business intelligence by conversing with clients and monitoring / identifying trends in data and in generated reports.Have high attention to detail, organized, and with strong communication skills.Have a never-give-up mindset for driving win-win-win partnerships for publishers and Taboola.Are a self-starter with the will and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.Nice to haves include :
Experience working with publishers and / or working in publishers in Japan.What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?
As a Publisher Account Manager, you will :
Manage and grow relationships with premium publisher clients and strategic partners in Japan.Understand the organization’s business needs and develop relationships at all levels.Monitor and analyse metrics and proactively take steps to improve results.Be an expert in Taboola’s platform and the benefits publishers gain by using it.Fully comprehend the technology, revenue ecosystem, and client needs / requirements in order to intelligently identify new opportunities and upsell the platform.Work closely with the Publisher Sales teams as well as the remote R&D department to become a valuable resource and single point of contact to the client.Communicate business intelligence from clients to the product management team in regards to new product development features.Strategically support the Publisher Sales team in pre-sale proposal development.
